A whole new messaging platform!

Hey hey Pisspigs! :pig:

We have something very exciting to announce! We want to introduce you to the new messaging system that we have on YellowH2O!

The messaging has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. It is modern, fast, and extremely mobile friendly. Features like read receipts, seeing when someone is typing, and in app notifications are just some of the things you will see.

One of the most asked for features that we receive is the ability to send photos privately to people; well, that time is finally here! :tada: You are able to choose a photo from your device and add it right to a chat :camera:! Itā€™s really quick! If you are using your mobile device, you can actually take a photo and upload it straight away :iphone:

As many of you know, our previous group chat was run off Flashcoms; and it wasnā€™t great. We made the decision to end the business relationship with Flashcoms and instead we built a new engine that will allow us to build a chat that is robust and always available.

With that, our group chat is currently in Beta, and you will notice that it is similar to your new messages! We plan to launch new features and channels in the coming weeks, so check back often! When you go to the chat tab, you will be able to join the ā€œgeneralā€ channel, and that will now show up in your messages! We think it keeps it much more organized!

We want to take a minute to thank our VIP members. Without you guys, we would not have this community! There are some features in the new messaging platform that are VIP only, but we have ensured that we have not crippled the new service for free members!   • User created channels (these are chat rooms)
  • Introduce the ability to send videos

Almost nobody ever uses Chat. You canā€™t get much more intimate than that!

Besides, the whole idea of chat is for everyone to join in.
